What is Wallpack

A Wallpack is a type of lighting fixture specifically designed for exterior applications, commonly used in commercial and industrial settings. It is typically mounted on the exterior walls of buildings, providing illumination for outdoor areas such as parking lots, walkways, and building perimeters.

Wallpack lights are designed to face outward from the building, offering visibility and enhancing security in these outdoor spaces. The height at which they are mounted can vary depending on the specific building and the desired coverage area. Some buildings may have Wallpack lights positioned at the top, while others may have them mounted lower down, depending on the lighting requirements and architectural considerations.

These fixtures can come in different forms and utilize various types of lamps, including Metal Halide, High Pressure Sodium, and Mercury Vapor Lamps, which are all examples of High Intensity Discharge (HID) lamps. However, it is worth noting that there are also LED Wallpack lighting options available, which have gained popularity in the lighting industry due to their energy efficiency, long lifespan, and versatility.
