What is Low Bay Lighting

Low-Bay Lighting is specifically designed for use in areas with ceilings under 20 feet in height from the floor. This type of lighting is commonly found in homes, retail businesses, and public buildings with low bay ceilings. Unlike high bay lighting, which is used for illuminating large areas with high ceilings such as warehouses and gymnasiums, low bay lighting is suitable for open spaces with lower ceilings.

When considering the choice between high bay and low bay lighting, it is essential to measure the height of the ceiling and the area that needs to be illuminated. Low bay lights are typically used for ceilings ranging from 12 to 20 feet in height. If the ceiling exceeds this range, high bay lights may be more appropriate. Conversely, if the ceiling is below this range, alternative light fixtures should be explored.
