Wat is oranje licht
Amber licht, in de context van de verlichtingsindustrie, verwijst naar een specifieke kleur licht die valt binnen het oranje-rode spectrum. Het wordt vaak gebruikt om warme verlichting op lagere niveaus. Een manier om amberkleurig licht te krijgen is door een amberkleurige afdekking over een witte lichtbron aan te brengen. Deze afdekkingen hebben het voordeel dat ze niet alleen amberkleurig licht produceren wanneer dat nodig is, maar ook wit licht mogelijk maken wanneer het amberkleurige effect niet nodig is.

Amber licht is vooral nuttig in zorgomgevingen waar het belangrijk is om de slaap en het circadiane ritme van patiënten zo min mogelijk te verstoren. De lage niveaus van warm licht die amberkleurige oplossingen bieden, verstoren de slaap niet, maar bieden toch voldoende verlichting voor patiënten om hun omgeving te zien en door de kamer te navigeren als ze wakker worden.
