カラーシフトとは
カラーシフトとは、照明光源から発せられる光の色が時間とともに変化する現象である。この色の変化は、主に半導体チップを含む照明システムの様々なコンポーネントで発生する劣化メカニズムによって引き起こされます、 蛍光体封止材、プラスチック樹脂、レンズ。

劣化メカニズムは、高温、高駆動電流、非効率的な熱放散、化学変化などの要因によって加速される。これらの要因によって、量子効率が低下する。 LEDチップ と蛍光体ダウンコンバーターによって、放出される色にシフトが生じる。青、黄、赤、緑の各方向へのシフトなど、関与する特定の劣化メカニズムに応じて、さまざまなタイプの色シフトが発生する可能性がある。
許容可能な色ずれの大きさは用途によって異なります。例えば、住宅用照明の場合、6,000時間で最大0.007 Δu'v'のカラーシフトが許容されることがありますが、ホスピタリティ、ショールーム、美術館の照明など、より要求の厳しい用途では、5年間で最大0.003 Δu'v'のカラーシフトが要求されることが多く、より高い色度安定性が要求されることがあります。
