色移是指照明光源发出的光的颜色随时间而改变或变化的现象。这种颜色变化主要是由照明系统各部件（包括半导体芯片）的降解机制造成的、 荧光粉封装材料、塑料树脂和镜片。

高温、高驱动电流、低效散热和化学变化等因素会加速降解机制。这些因素都会导致量子效率下降。 LED 晶片 和荧光粉降频器的作用，导致发光颜色发生偏移。根据所涉及的特定降解机制，会出现不同类型的色移，包括蓝色、黄色、红色或绿色方向的色移。
可接受的色偏幅度因应用而异。例如，住宅照明在 6000 小时内允许的最大色移为 0.007 Δu'v'，而酒店、陈列室和博物馆照明等要求更高的应用可能需要更高的色度稳定性，通常需要在 5 年内色移达到 0.003 Δu'v'。
