Qué es el balasto electromagnético
Un balasto electromagnético es un dispositivo utilizado en los dispositivos de iluminación, en particular en las luces fluorescentes. Funciona según los principios del electromagnetismo, donde una corriente eléctrica que pasa a través de un cable genera un campo magnético. Un balasto electromagnético, también conocido como balasto magnético o reactancia, consiste en una bobina de alambre de cobre. Esta bobina produce un campo magnético que controla el flujo de corriente eléctrica hacia el fluorescente. El grosor y la longitud del hilo de cobre determinan la cantidad de corriente que pasa.
Balastos electromagnéticos puede causar parpadeo o producir un zumbido. Esto se debe a la fluctuación de la corriente provocada por el balasto. Se consideran menos avanzados que los balastos electrónicos. Algunos modelos de balastos electromagnéticos requieren el uso de un cebador, un pequeño componente en forma de cilindro lleno de gas, para iniciar la luz. Este método de arranque se conoce como método de precalentamiento.
