Crest Factor nedir
Crest faktörü, bir akım veya gerilim sinyalinin tepe değeri ile kök ortalama kare (RMS) değeri arasındaki orandır. Bir dalga formunun veya sinyalin dinamik aralığının boyutunu tanımlayan bir ölçüm cihazı spesifikasyonudur. Crest Faktörü bir giriş sinyalinin kalitesini belirtmek için kullanılır ve tepe-RMS oranının bir ölçüsü olabilir.
Aydınlatma endüstrisinde farklı yük tipleri, farklı tepe faktörlerine sahip olabilen farklı akım dalga biçimleri sergiler. Isıtıcılar ve akkor lambalar gibi dirençli yükler, tepe faktörü 1,4'e yakın olan neredeyse sinüzoidal akım dalga biçimlerine sahiptir. Elektronik aydınlatma balastları ve bilgisayar güç kaynakları gibi güç faktörü düzeltilmiş yükler tipik olarak 1,4 ila 1,5 arasında değişen tepe faktörlerine sahiptir. Akü şarj cihazları ve VSD motor kontrolleri gibi doğrusal olmayan yükler, 2,0 ila 3,0 veya daha yüksek tepe faktörlerine sahip olabilir.

Bu tepe faktörü yüksek akım tepe faktörlerine sahip münferit yükleri ölçerken özellikle önemli hale gelir. Tepe akımı, akım trafosu (CT) gibi ölçüm cihazının kapasitesini aşarsa, okumalar hatalı olabilir. Bu nedenle, beklenen tepe akımını karşılayabilecek nominal akıma sahip bir CT seçmek çok önemlidir.
