O que é a CIE
A CIE, também conhecida como Comissão Internacional de Iluminação (CIE), é uma organização dedicada à cooperação mundial e à troca de informações no domínio da luz e da iluminação. Fundada em 1900 como a Comissão Internacional de FotometriaEm 1913, foi reestruturado como CIE e, desde então, tornou-se a principal autoridade em matéria de luz e iluminação.
Os principais objectivos do CIE incluem facilitar os debates internacionais sobre questões relacionadas com a luz e a iluminação, desenvolver normas e procedimentos para a metrologia nestes domínios, fornecer orientações sobre a aplicação de princípios e procedimentos para as normas internacionais e nacionais e publicar relatórios e publicações sobre vários aspectos da luz e da iluminação.

A CIE colabora com outras organizações internacionais envolvidas na ciência, tecnologia, normalização e arte nos domínios da luz e da iluminação. Também edita várias publicações que servem como recursos importantes para investigadores, profissionais e praticantes na indústria da iluminação.
