LEDとUVライトのどちらが安全か
LED電球は、紫外線が弱いため、UV電球に比べて安全な選択肢と考えられている。LEDの光を長時間浴びることは、肌を黒くし、紫外線を長時間浴びることで皮膚がんになる可能性のある過度の日焼けよりも危険性が低いと考えられている。
UVAライトの目的とは？
UVA光の目的は、摂食、日周運動、交尾など、生物のさまざまな行動を制御することである。
LEDライトはUVAか？
注意すべき重要な点は、LEDライトは紫外線スペクトル、特にUV-Aの範囲内で発光するということである。したがって、LEDライトはまさにUVライトと言える。従来のUVライトと区別することが重要で、一般的にコンパクト蛍光灯（UV CFL）と呼ばれているのは、使用されている電球のためである。
