DMXは、デジタル・マルチプレックスの略で、次のようなものである。 照明制御プロトコル 照明業界で広く使用されている。DMXは、1つまたは複数のチャンネルを使用して、個別またはグループの照明を集中制御できる通信システムです。DMXのセットアップにはデイジーチェーン・シークエンスが含まれ、コントローラーがデータを送信し、接続されたすべての照明器具を経由します。

DMXは様々な照明機能を正確にコントロールします。DMXチャンネルは照明器具に特定のアクションを指示します。例えば RGBライト が1つのDMXチャンネルを必要とするのに対して、RGBWライトは4つのチャンネルを必要とします。これは、512チャンネルまでコントロールできるDMXユニバースが128個のRGBWフィクスチャーを完全にコントロールできることを意味します。
DMXシステムが正しく機能するよう、デイジーチェーンの終端にターミネーターを使用します。ターミネーターは信号の跳ね返りを止め、信号の歪みを防ぎます。DMX信号の完全性を維持するために重要な役割を果たします。
