自然光とは
自然光は、太陽光による照度を忠実に再現した照明である。ケルビン温度は約5,000ケルビン、演色評価数（CRI）は100である。また ケルビン温度 自然光は一日を通して変化し、時間帯や雲量などの要因によって、通常5,000～6,000ケルビンの範囲にある。CRIは、光源が自然の太陽光と比較してどの程度正確に色を表現するかを表す指標です。照明光源が自然光として分類されるためには、一般的にCRIが90以上であることが適切であると考えられている。
何をもって自然照明とするかについては、各社独自の解釈を持っている場合もあるが、色温度が6,500ケルビン、CRIが82～84のランプは自然照明の基準を満たさないというのが一般的な見解である。同様に、色温度が4,100ケルビンでCRIが高いランプも、光の色が太陽光から大きく逸脱しており、太陽光とは似ても似つかないため、自然光源とはみなされない。
