Cos'è la luce naturale
La luce naturale è una fonte di illuminazione che emula fedelmente l'illuminazione fornita dalla luce solare. È caratterizzata da una temperatura kelvin di circa 5.000 gradi kelvin e da un indice di resa cromatica (CRI) pari a 100. Il temperatura kelvin della luce naturale può variare nel corso della giornata, in genere da 5.000 a 6.000 kelvin, a seconda di fattori quali l'ora del giorno e la copertura nuvolosa. Il CRI è una metrica utilizzata per descrivere l'accuratezza con cui una sorgente luminosa rende i colori rispetto alla luce naturale del sole. Affinché una fonte di illuminazione possa essere classificata come luce naturale, in genere si ritiene opportuno che abbia un CRI superiore a 90.
Alcune aziende possono avere una propria interpretazione di ciò che costituisce l'illuminazione naturale, ma in generale si concorda sul fatto che le lampade con temperature di colore di 6.500 kelvin e un CRI di 82-84 non soddisfano i criteri di illuminazione naturale. Allo stesso modo, le lampade con una temperatura di colore di 4.100 kelvin e un CRI elevato non possono essere considerate fonti di illuminazione naturale, poiché il colore della luce si discosta notevolmente dalla luce solare e le assomiglia poco.
