Apa itu Ballast Elektromagnetik
Ballast elektromagnetik adalah perangkat yang digunakan pada perlengkapan pencahayaan, khususnya pada lampu neon. Alat ini beroperasi berdasarkan prinsip elektromagnetisme, di mana arus listrik yang melewati kawat menghasilkan medan magnet. Ballast elektromagnetik, juga dikenal sebagai ballast magnetik atau choke, terdiri dari kumparan kawat tembaga. Kumparan ini menghasilkan medan magnet yang mengontrol aliran arus listrik ke lampu neon. Ketebalan dan panjang kawat tembaga menentukan jumlah arus yang melewatinya.
Pemberat elektromagnetik dapat menyebabkan berkedip-kedip atau menghasilkan suara mendengung. Hal ini disebabkan oleh fluktuasi arus yang disebabkan oleh ballast. Ballast ini dianggap kurang canggih dibandingkan dengan ballast elektronik.
