캔들파워란?
캔들파워는 특정 방향에 대한 광원의 광도를 측정합니다. 촛불이 주요 광원이었던 시절의 일반적이고 균일한 빛의 출력에서 유래했습니다. 캔들파워는 특정 방향, 특히 집중된 빔의 가장 밝은 중앙 위치에서 방출되는 빛의 양을 구체적으로 나타냅니다.
과거에는 캔들파워가 특정 방향에서 광원의 강도를 설명하는 주요 측정 단위였습니다. 그러나 현재 광도의 표준 측정 단위인 칸델라로 대체되었습니다. 1캔들파워는 1칸델라와 같습니다.
