T12電球とは
T12電球は蛍光管の一種。T12」という呼称は、1.5インチという電球の直径に基づいている。このため、直径1インチのT8電球に比べ、T12電球は直径が大きい。T12電球は、オフィスビル、倉庫、小売店などの商業・工業用で一般的に使用されている。

よくある質問
T8電球は製造中止となるのか
T5およびT8蛍光管とコンパクト蛍光管が段階的に廃止される予定である。欧州委員会のエコデザインおよびRoHS指令によると、2023年以降、これらの蛍光管は使用できなくなる。
蛍光灯の4つのタイプとは？
蛍光灯は蛍光管としても知られ、主に5つのタイプがある：T2、T5、T5HO、T8、T12である。T」は「管状」を表し、続く数字は1/8インチ単位で直径を示す。
T12はT8より明るい？
T12ランプの初期ルーメンは2,650ルーメン/ランプで、T8ランプの初期ルーメンは2,800ルーメン/ランプなので、6%明るい。ただし、T12ランプの設計ルーメンは2,300ルーメンであるのに対し、T8ランプの設計ルーメンは2,660ルーメンであることに注意する必要がある。
