ゼネラルライティングサービス（GLS）とは
GLSは、General Lighting Serviceの略で、1世紀以上にわたって使用されている、クラシックな洋ナシ型のデザインが特徴の特定のタイプの電球を表します。これは、世界中で最も認知され、広く使用されている電球の形状のひとつです。
もともとGLS電球は、フィラメントが見える白熱電球だった。しかし、技術の進歩により、より新しく、よりエネルギー効率の高い選択肢が利用できるようになりました。これにより、消費者はエネルギーを消費する白熱GLS電球を、LED電球や蛍光灯などの代替品に置き換えることができるようになり、大幅な省エネが実現した。
