Wat is isolerende laag
Isolatielagen zijn lagen materiaal die ontworpen zijn om warmte vast te houden en te isoleren. Deze lagen voorkomen warmteoverdracht tussen het verlichtingssysteem en de omliggende isolatiematerialen, zoals glasvezel- of cellulose-isolatie. Het garandeert de veiligheid van de installatie door een barrière te creëren die beperkt dat de door het licht gegenereerde warmte gevaarlijke niveaus bereikt.
Gewoonlijk worden isolatielagen opgebouwd uit twee lagen metalen omhulsel met een zakje lucht ertussen. Deze configuratie helpt de warmte te verspreiden en voorkomt dat de buitenste laag metaal te heet wordt. Door het verlichtingssysteem effectief te isoleren, dragen deze lagen bij aan energie-efficiëntie door warmteverlies te beperken en het gebruik van lampen met een lager wattage mogelijk te maken.
