Wat is bliksembeveiligingssysteem (LPS)
Een bliksembeveiligingssysteem (Lightning Protection System - LPS) is een systeem dat ontworpen is om gebouwen en constructies te beschermen tegen de schadelijke effecten van blikseminslag. Het garandeert de veiligheid van de structuur en de bewoners.
De integratie en het onderhoud van LPS is belangrijk voor metalen daksystemen. Het is noodzakelijk om specifieke richtlijnen en specificaties met betrekking tot LPS te volgen. Deze richtlijnen omvatten het gebruik van up-to-date LPS-specificaties van betrouwbare industriële autoriteiten zoals het Lightning Protection Institute (LPI) en het verwijzen naar nationaal erkende veiligheidsnormen voor het ontwerp en de installatie van LPS, zoals LPI en NFPA 780.
