LED 칩이란?
LED 다이라고도 하는 LED 칩은 LED의 핵심 구성 요소 역할을 하는 소형 반도체 장치입니다. 전기 에너지를 빛으로 변환하는 역할을 합니다. LED 칩은 원하는 전기적 특성을 만들기 위해 불순물이 도핑된 반도체 재료, 일반적으로 갈륨 비소(GaAs) 또는 질화 갈륨(GaN)으로 구성됩니다.

LED 칩에 전류가 가해지면, 전류는 PN 접합는 두 가지 다른 유형의 반도체 물질을 결합하여 형성됩니다. PN 접합부에서 전자와 정공이 재결합하여 빛 입자인 광자 형태로 에너지를 방출합니다. 이 과정을 전계발광이라고 합니다.
LED 칩은 빨강, 녹색, 파랑, 흰색 등 다양한 색상으로 제공됩니다. LED 칩에서 방출되는 빛의 색은 PN 접합부에 사용되는 재료에 따라 결정됩니다. 예를 들어, 청색 LED 칩은 일반적으로 백색광을 생성하기 위해 노란색 형광체와 함께 사용됩니다. 이러한 칩은 일반적으로 다음과 같은 기판에 장착됩니다. PCB를 결합한 다음 보호 하우징 또는 패키지로 캡슐화합니다. 이 패키지는 LED 칩을 물리적, 화학적 손상으로부터 보호할 뿐만 아니라 기계적, 전기적, 열적, 광학적 지원도 제공합니다.
