第二类是半截断分布，即在与天底成 80 度垂直角时，光强度不超过额定光亮度的 20%。此外，在与天顶成 90 度时，光强不得超过额定流明的 5%。此限制适用于灯具周围的所有横向角度。
第三类是 "截止分布"（Cutoff distribution），即在额定流明从天底 90 度或以上时，光强不超过 2.5%。此外，在离天顶 80 度的垂直角上，光强必须小于额定流明的 10%。
第四类，也是限制最多的一类是全截止分布，即从天底 90 度以上的光强为零。这意味着灯具发出的光只能照射到下方的地面。此外，在 80 度或 80 度以上，光强不得超过额定流明的 10%。与半截式分类类似，这一限制适用于灯具周围的所有横向角度。
通过实施截光分布分类，照明行业旨在将光线向下引导，防止在特定角度过度发光，从而最大限度地减少眩光和光污染。这有助于创造更舒适、更安全的照明环境，尤其是对道路上的驾驶员而言。
