전류 파고율은 피크 전류와 평균제곱근(RMS) 전류 사이의 비율입니다. 전류 파형의 진폭을 측정하는 값으로 전기 부하를 정확하게 측정하고 모니터링하는 데 중요한 역할을 합니다.
부하 유형에 따라 전류 파형이 다르기 때문에 파고율도 달라집니다. 히터나 백열등과 같은 저항성 부하는 일반적으로 파고율이 1.4에 가까운 거의 정현파에 가까운 전류 파형을 갖습니다. 다음과 같은 역률 보정 부하 전자식 조명 안정기 및 컴퓨터 전원 공급 장치의 파고율은 일반적으로 1.4에서 1.5 사이입니다.

전류 파고율이 높은 개별 부하를 계량할 때는 적절한 변류기(CT) 정격 전류를 선택해야 합니다. 파고율이 높은 부하의 피크 전류는 CT 입력의 용량을 초과하여 클리핑으로 인해 부정확한 판독값을 초래할 수 있습니다. 정확한 측정을 위해서는 피크 전류를 수용하기 위해 정격 전류가 더 높은 CT를 선택해야 합니다.
