Rayzeek Introduces RZ037 Wired Ceiling Occupancy Sensor for Projects That Need Ceiling-Based Control

Rayzeek has introduced the RZ037, a wired ceiling-mounted PIR occupancy sensor switch for automatic lighting and compatible fan/load control in residential and commercial indoor spaces.

The RZ037 is built for projects where a wall switch is not the best place to detect movement. In a corridor, restroom, stairwell, open office, garage, or breakroom, the people using the space may not pass close to a wall control. A ceiling sensor gives installers a more central position and helps the control react to actual room use instead of only activity near the entrance.

That is the main reason this product matters in the Rayzeek lineup. It gives contractors, facility teams, and project buyers another way to match the control method to the room layout, the wiring plan, and the load being controlled.

A wired ceiling option for common indoor spaces

The RZ037 is a ceiling-mounted 360-degree PIR occupancy and motion sensor switch. Under documented conditions, its ceiling placement provides an 8 to 12 meter detection diameter, making it a practical choice for many small and medium indoor areas where ceiling coverage is more useful than wall-mounted detection.

Typical applications include public bathrooms, hallways, garages, open offices, breakrooms, stairwells, corridors, and similar spaces where lighting is often left on longer than needed or where manual switching is inconvenient. For compatible applications, the sensor can also be used for fan or load control, giving project teams a simple wired control point rather than a separate manual switching routine.

Because the RZ037 is wired, it is especially relevant for new fit-outs, electrical upgrades, and retrofit work where installers already have access to ceiling wiring or can plan the control position during the project. In those cases, a fixed ceiling control can be cleaner and more predictable than trying to solve the same room with a wall-switch sensor in a poor detection location.

Model choices for different wiring plans

The RZ037 family includes line-voltage and low-voltage options so buyers can select the version that fits the project instead of forcing one wiring approach into every space.

  • RZ037-5A and RZ037-10A: line-voltage variants using 100-265 VAC and requiring a neutral wire.
  • RZ037 12V/24V DC: low-voltage version for compatible control systems and low-voltage applications.

This model split is useful during product selection. A standalone room with suitable mains wiring may call for one of the line-voltage models. A control cabinet, low-voltage lighting setup, or system-level control design may point to the 12V/24V DC version instead. The important part is that the installer can start from the wiring reality of the site and choose the matching sensor version.

Adjustment without overcomplicating setup

The RZ037 includes the adjustment points installers usually need when commissioning an occupancy sensor. The time delay can be set from 15 seconds to 30 minutes, allowing short shutoff timing for transient spaces or a longer delay where occupants may remain still for periods of time. Sensitivity can be set to High or Low depending on the room size, mounting position, and desired response.

The built-in light sensor can be set to Lux Off, 15 Lux, 25 Lux, or 35 Lux. That gives installers a straightforward way to decide whether the load should respond regardless of ambient light or only when the measured light level is below the selected threshold.

For Rayzeek customers, the RZ037 fills a clear role: a wired ceiling sensor for projects where central detection, fixed installation, and model selection matter. It gives distributors and project teams another practical option when wall-mounted control is not the right answer for the room.
