Cos'\u00e8 l'autotrasformatore a potenza costante (CWA)<\/h2>

L'autotrasformatore a potenza costante (CWA) \u00e8 un tipo di reattore specifico per lampade al mercurio ad alta pressione e al sodio ad alta pressione (HPS). Fornisce la tensione di avvio e di funzionamento necessaria per questi tipi di lampade. Un reattore CWA \u00e8 tipicamente composto da terminali di ingresso per il collegamento alle linee di corrente alternata, terminali di uscita per il collegamento alla lampada e un autotrasformatore. L'autotrasformatore ha un avvolgimento primario collegato ai terminali di ingresso e a un terminale di uscita, nonch\u00e9 un avvolgimento secondario collegato all'altro terminale di uscita. <\/p>

Oltre all'autotrasformatore, un reattore CWA pu\u00f2 includere anche altri componenti, come condensatori in serie e condensatori di mantenimento dell'arco. Il condensatore in serie \u00e8 solitamente collegato al terminale di uscita e contribuisce a limitare o controllare la corrente della lampada e a migliorare il fattore di potenza del carico. Il condensatore di mantenimento dell'arco elettrico, invece, \u00e8 collegato a uno dei terminali di ingresso in parallelo all'avvolgimento secondario dell'autotrasformatore. \u00c8 progettato per entrare in risonanza con l'autotrasformatore, provocando un rapido aumento della tensione ai terminali di uscita durante ogni ciclo alternato alto.
