Les plafonds de bureau sont rigides et sans vibration. Les structures d\u2019entrep\u00f4t, en revanche, vibrent sous la stress m\u00e9canique caus\u00e9 par les chariots \u00e9l\u00e9vateurs rapides et les palettes laiss\u00e9es tomber. Un capteur standard pourrait projeter un c\u00f4ne de d\u00e9tection couvrant un rayon de 6 m\u00e8tres (20 pieds) sur le sol \u2014 parfait pour une zone ouverte. Cependant, dans une all\u00e9e de 2,4 m\u00e8tres (8 pieds) de large, la majeure partie de cette couverture d\u00e9borde dans les all\u00e9es adjacentes. Le capteur ne peut pas r\u00e9duire son champ de vision pour correspondre \u00e0 l\u2019all\u00e9e sans sacrifier sa port\u00e9e de d\u00e9tection sur la longueur.<\/p><p>La hauteur de montage ajoute une couche suppl\u00e9mentaire de complexit\u00e9. Une installation plus haute augmente la port\u00e9e du capteur mais aplatit son angle de vue, ce qui complique encore la d\u00e9tection d\u2019un mouvement approchant. Une fixation plus basse am\u00e9liore la sensibilit\u00e9 mais r\u00e9duit la zone de couverture, n\u00e9cessitant davantage de capteurs par all\u00e9e. La hauteur id\u00e9ale est une estimation soigneusement calcul\u00e9e en fonction du mod\u00e8le du capteur, de la largeur de l\u2019all\u00e9e et du trafic pr\u00e9vu \u2014 une estimation rarement fournie dans les fiches techniques con\u00e7ues pour des bureaux en open space.<\/p><p>Dans une all\u00e9e de 30 m\u00e8tres (100 pieds), un capteur doit fonctionner de fa\u00e7on fiable \u00e0 sa port\u00e9e maximale, o\u00f9 le signal est le plus faible. Des facteurs environnementaux comme la stratification thermique, courante dans les entrep\u00f4ts de grande hauteur, peuvent cr\u00e9er des couches thermiques qui interf\u00e8rent avec la d\u00e9tection infrarouge sur de longues distances. Un capteur qui fonctionne parfaitement dans un bureau climatis\u00e9 peut \u00e9chouer l\u00e0 o\u00f9 la diff\u00e9rence de temp\u00e9rature entre le sol et le plafond d\u00e9passe 15\u00b0F (8\u00b0C).<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"the-directionality-problem-for-linear-traffic\">Le probl\u00e8me de directionnalit\u00e9 pour le trafic lin\u00e9aire<\/h3><p>Le trafic pr\u00e9visible \u00e0 sens unique dans les all\u00e9es pr\u00e9sente un autre d\u00e9fi. La composante ultrasonore peut d\u00e9tecter les petits mouvements d\u2019une personne immobile. Un design utilisant le moins de capteurs possible \u2014 en pla\u00e7ant un au milieu de chaque all\u00e9e \u2014 \u00e9chouera in\u00e9vitablement aux intersections.
