Im Gegensatz zum herk\u00f6mmlichen Schraubsockel hat ein Zweistiftsockel zwei Stifte, die in entsprechende Schlitze oder Anschl\u00fcsse in der Leuchte passen und so einen elektrischen Kontakt herstellen. Der Abstand zwischen den beiden Stiften kann je nach Sockel variieren und ist in der Regel in der Bezeichnung des Leuchtmittels angegeben. Eine G4-Lampe hat beispielsweise einen Abstand von 4 Millimetern zwischen den beiden Stiften.<\/p><p>Zweistiftsockel werden h\u00e4ufig in verschiedenen Arten von Gl\u00fchlampen verwendet, darunter Gl\u00fchbirnen, Halogenlampen und LED-Lampen. In der Vergangenheit wurden vor allem Gl\u00fch- oder Halogenlampen mit Zweistiftsockel verwendet, aber jetzt sind auch LED-Zweistiftsockel als Ersatz f\u00fcr diese traditionellen Gl\u00fchbirnen erh\u00e4ltlich.
