Er fungiert als Sensor, der \u00c4nderungen der Lichtintensit\u00e4t erkennt und eine Reaktion in einem elektrischen oder elektronischen Schaltkreis ausl\u00f6st. <\/p><p>Der Zweck einer Fotozelle besteht darin, Schwankungen in der Lichtst\u00e4rke zu erkennen und angeschlossene Schaltungen oder Ger\u00e4te entsprechend zu aktivieren oder zu deaktivieren. Bei geringer Umgebungslichtintensit\u00e4t schaltet sich die Fotozelle automatisch ein, so dass der angeschlossene Stromkreis oder das Ger\u00e4t aktiviert werden kann. Diese Eigenschaft macht sie besonders n\u00fctzlich f\u00fcr Anwendungen, bei denen die Beleuchtung in Abh\u00e4ngigkeit von den Lichtverh\u00e4ltnissen in der Umgebung gesteuert werden muss, z.
