Sie ist ein grundlegendes Konzept, um das Verhalten von Licht zu verstehen, und spielt bei verschiedenen Aspekten der Beleuchtungsplanung und -technik eine entscheidende Rolle. In der Beleuchtungsindustrie wird Licht oft so beschrieben, dass es sich in Form von Transversalwellen durch den freien Raum ausbreitet. Diese Wellen bestehen aus oszillierenden Photonen, und die Bewegungsrichtung der Welle ist senkrecht zur Schwingungsrichtung der Photonen. Die Wellenl\u00e4nge ist ein wesentliches Merkmal dieser Wellen und wird durch das Symbol \u03bb (Lambda) dargestellt.<\/p><p>Die Messung der Wellenl\u00e4nge kann zwischen zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Wellenbergen oder zwei aufeinanderfolgenden Wellent\u00e4lern erfolgen. Ein Scheitelpunkt ist der h\u00f6chste Punkt der Welle, ein Tiefpunkt der niedrigste Punkt.
