Hvad er Kelvin (K)<\/h2>

Kelvin (K) er SI-enheden for termodynamisk temperatur og bruges almindeligvis til at m\u00e5le temperaturen af lys. Det er en absolut temperaturskala, der starter ved 0 kelvin, hvilket repr\u00e6senterer det absolutte nulpunkt, det punkt hvor ethvert termodynamisk system er ved sin laveste energi, og alle partikler har den mindste kinetiske energi. I mods\u00e6tning til Fahrenheit- og Celsius-temperaturenhederne udtrykkes kelvin-enheden ikke i grader, fordi det er en absolut skala. En \u00e6ndring p\u00e5 en enkelt grad Celsius er dog den samme temperaturm\u00e6ngde som en kelvin.<\/p>

Kelvin-skalaen blev designet af William Thomson, ogs\u00e5 kendt som Lord Kelvin, en britisk videnskabsmand og opfinder. Den er formelt defineret som 1\/273,16 (3,6609 \u00d7 10 -3) af den termodynamiske temperatur ved vandets tripelpunkt.
