Den fastsl\u00e5r, at den str\u00e5lende intensitet fra en ideel, diffust reflekterende overflade er direkte proportional med cosinus af vinklen mellem retningen af indfaldende lys og overfladens normal. Denne lov, opkaldt efter Johann Heinrich Lambert, studeres i optik og spiller en afg\u00f8rende rolle i forst\u00e5elsen af, hvordan lys fordeles, og hvordan det p\u00e5virker belysningen af en overflade.<\/p><p>Cosiniusbelysningsloven bruges til at beregne belysningsstyrken (eller bestr\u00e5lingen) p\u00e5 en overflade baseret p\u00e5 indfaldsvinklen.
